Swift Current and Assiniboia remain under a storm watch while Saskatoon, Watrous, and all areas along the northern grain belt remain under a weather warning.

The winter storm watch has been lifted for the Moose Jaw and Regina regions while Assiniboia and all areas west remain under a storm watch. Saskatoon and areas east along the northern grain belt to the Manitoba border are under a warning.

Blizzard or near blizzard conditions developed along the Yellowhead highway with the Battlefords taking the brunt of the storm with zero visibility and east winds up to 90 km/h at times Tuesday night.

The weather system is expected to take a track from Kindersley to Carlyle Wednesday as blizzard conditions will gradually ease off with about 10 to 20 cm of snow.

Strong winds will continue to blow in most regions Wednesday with some very cool temperatures to follow the weather system. Highs down in the 20's are expected for a couple days.
