With the first full day of summer on Monday, the Old Farmer’s Almanac is predicting average temperatures, but a lot of rain.

Throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Western and Southern Saskatchewan has been labeled by the almanac as “Wet? You Bet!”

“You're kind of in the middle. Looks like an average type of summer. It'll be a wet at times then, but when it's warm, it's going to be like warm, warm, warm,” said Almanac managing editor Jack Burnett.

Meanwhile, Eastern Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Western Ontario have been labeled “Scorching!” as those areas could see above-average temperatures.

Burnett explained what this could mean for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.

“It’s going to be average temperatures, but I don't think the dent is going to be that great and you're almost right on the border of the scorching part too,” he said.

According to the Almanac, the hottest periods will be in late July and mid-August.
