In the regular season, the Moose Jaw Warriors won 23 games away from Mosaic Place. They continued that road success in the first round of the WHL Playoffs, taking two of three games at the Art Hauser Centre over the Prince Albert Raiders.

Now the Warriors head into another hostile building looking to find that same success as they prepare to face the Swift Current Broncos in Games 3 and 4 at the Innovation Credit Union Iplex.

"It's a tough rink to go and play in, but it's just like P.A, that's a tough rink to play in as well and we went in there and came out with two wins, so we're looking to do the same here in Swift Current," said Warriors forward Jayden Halbgewachs.

The Warriors had the second-most road wins in the league during the regular season and also beat the Broncos on two occasions in Swift Current.

Defenceman Kale Clague said the Warriors have a good mentality when going into the oppositions' home rink, "We just have more a greasy mentality," he said. "We know it's going to take a full 60, it's going to take everyone, we might need some ugly goals, but we'll take whatever we can get."

The two series opening games this past weekend really were the tale of two games for the Warriors. They looked like the unbeatable regular season champions in Game 1, rolling to a 5-2 win, but they couldn't find a spark in Game 2 on Saturday, falling 4-0 to the Broncos at Mosaic Place.

Clague said it all came down to the pace that they had in their game for Game 1.

“When we're using our speed and our skill, they can't really handle us, but on Saturday I didn't think we showed our speed and skill as much as we need to and we need a bit more push back physically too and we'll be fine," said Clague.

"We're a faster team, but on Saturday, they played faster than us and were out working us, so as long as we have that mindset that we need to go into their rink and be willing to out-work them and out-skate them."

While the Warriors might not have been on top of their game in Game 2, Halbgewachs feels that they were just one break away from that game changing in their favour.

"We had a 2-on-1 early in the game and (Brett) Howden hits the post, just chances like that, if you get those goals, it's a whole new game, but that's just the way the game went for us," he said.

The Warriors and Broncos hit the ice at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday for Games 3 and 4. The Pre-Game Show will be on the air at 6:40 p.m. on Country 100.
