It's that time of year.  Hockey season ends and the meetings begin.  Our Moose Jaw Warriors have conducted what they call their "player exit" meetings.  Managers and coaches and our board of directors will reflect and look forward to next season.

I truly enjoyed attending games this season - our hockey team was fantastic - so much fun to watch.  It's the rest of the show that's getting old for me.

There was a time when I wanted the loud music between whistles and rock 'em sock 'em hockey on the ice.  I've changed my mind.

The constant noise, the constant music irritates me.  It's overwhelming.  And, there are times when coaches and players are chirping at each other and at the officials and I want to hear what they're saying but I can't because the music's too loud.

I also wonder why the public address announcer has to yell at us to "MAKE SOME NOISE!" Why?  How about we make some noise when our team scores a goal?

So, now I question, am I in the majority here or have I simply turned into a grumpy, old man?
