All 18 disc golf holes in Wakamow Valley have been groomed and are ready to go for the summer.

Located just off Wellesley Street, the disc golf course is free for anyone to use and you don’t necessarily have to start on the first hole.

“They're spread out in a beautiful area of the park right by the suspension bridge, so it's a fantastic area to go and play disc golf for the family and enjoy,” said Wakamow Valley Authority general manager Todd Johnson.

Johnson added that disc golf is a sport that has really taken off in popularity in the city.

“We were really surprised that all winter long people were there playing and we're going to be putting in tee boxes right away and numbering each hole and everything like that. Slowly but surely, we will definitely get there.”

If you want to try disc golf, but don’t have any discs, there is no need to despair. You can call the Wakamow Valley Authority office and sign out a loaner set of discs.

The Wakamow Valley course is also featured on the UDisc Disc Golf app. The app shows you the layout of the course and allows you to keep score while you are playing.

The app is available on both the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.
