Moose Jaw will be sending 61 athletes to compete in the SHSAA provincial track-and-field championship in Prince Albert this weekend.

There will be 1,430 athletes in total competing in nine track and seven field events, as well as two combined quad events over the next two days.

Peacock leads the Moose Jaw schools with 22 athletes at provincials, while there's 18 from Vanier, Central's sending 11, five are from Caronport and three each from Cornerstone and Riverview.

The action runs Friday and Saturday at the Harry Jerome Track in northern Saskatchewan.
