On Friday, October 29th the Strong Studio is inviting people to the gym for its Beats and Bumps for Breast Cancer event at 7:30 pm.

It is an annual event that fundraises within the community for breast cancer research.

Studio Owner Kyra Klassen will be leading the workout class and says that it's suitable for everyone.

"We're of course going to be doing our dance fitness as well as a little bit of circuit, some lightweight training, some toning so you'll definitely get a great overall body workout," says Klassen.

Not only will it be a workout class, but there will also be vendors at the events that will allow participants to shop and try samples. Klassen told Discover Moose Jaw that she is still setting up agreements with some vendors but there will be a lot of local goods as well, "We will be partnering up obviously with some of our great partnerships throughout Moose Jaw, local people. We have Supplement King coming on board. A couple of other food vendors. We have some of our own Strong Studio merchandise as well as some other small products that we carry in the studio."

"Come with an open mind, ready to sweat. A water bottle. Some clean indoor shoes... and be prepared to shave some fun for a good cause," says Klassen.

There is no registry required, it will be $15 at the door.

All of the money collected will go towards breast cancer research and support.

The Strong Studio is still deciding exactly where the money will go this year as they want to make sure that the funds go where it's going to be the most effective.

"We've always done different things. A couple of years ago we gave it to a few people that were going through treatment. We've given it to the research organization right online. There are a few different options that [people] can follow there. This year we haven't quite decided, we have two things that we're going for that will be announced soon. We're just trying to weigh out our best options," says Klassen.
