Just ask the 80,000 plus fans that took in two Rolling Stones performances over the weekend. An estimated 15 million dollars in tourism spending was dropped in Regina.

One of the greatest rock and roll bands of all-time turned the Queen City and most of the province upside down on the weekend. The Rolling Stones performed for more than 80,000 plus at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field. Fans could not stop talking about the amazing stage show, the lights, and of course, the energy of the Stones themselves.

The performances remain fresh in our minds, but the shows are over and done with. We spoke with local MLA Glenn Hagel and he says the Rolling Stones were entertaining  and them coming to Saskatchewan really helped out the economy.

"The Rolling Stones have an impact on our economy. I think they'd be conservatively estimated to bring in an economic impact in the excess of 20 million dollars, and they are just absolutely good news for the service and hospitality industry for sure".

The band's two concerts over the weekend have brought and estimated 15 million dollars in tourism spending to the Queen City.
