With all of this sunshine hitting Moose Jaw recently and more expected to come, brings muck, slush and puddles everywhere.

However, that doesn't stop local residents from going out and enjoying the sunshine, whether it be walking your dog, or going jogging.

Putting the forecast in perspective, looking back to February of 2019, temperatures this week hovered around -54 with the windchill.

One Moose Jaw couple went for a stroll in Wakamow Valley, not to jog nor to walk their dog, but to expose their pet bird to the warm weather and sunshine.

"We'd like to pack a picnic lunch, and put out some lawn chairs and we'll put the bird on the perch down here. It'll have to be a little warmer and drier though."

Another local resident, Brittney Drake was out enjoying some quality time with her family.

"I like the warm weather, however, I do like the snow."

Most agreed that this has been the warmest February Moose jaw has had yet.

Moose Jaw has already broken a modern-day weather record on Saturday with the previous record high sitting at 2.6 in the year 2000. However, according to Environment Canada, Moose Jaw almost reached 17 degrees back in 1992.
