It was a busy Sunday for local lacrosse teams as they hit the court for three games against the Swift Current Rampage at the Kinsmen Arena.

Split for Bantam Mustangs

The Bantam Mustangs came away from their doubleheader with a win and a loss, falling 6-2 to the Rampage 1 and then beating the Rampage 2, 8-5.

The split puts the Mustangs into a tie for second place with the Rampage 1 in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

Brennan Watterson and Braxton Mac Angus scored for the Mustangs in the first game.

Watterson would find the back of the net three more times in the second game, while Ethan Johnson finished with two goals and four points, and Brennan Blatz picked up a goal and three points.

Carter Michaluk and Liam Fitzpatrick had the other two goals in the win, while Eric Woodley had two assists.

The Bantam Mustangs will close out the regular season coming up on Saturday when they head into Regina to take on the Hawks at the Co-Operators Centre.

Midget Mustangs Top Rampage

The Moose Jaw Midget Mustangs finished off the day on Sunday with a 7-4 win over the Swift Current Rampage at the Kinsmen Arena.

Atley Calvert had a goal and four points in the win, while Ethan Peters picked up two goals and Kayde Shymko chipped in with three assists.

Noah Schindel, Kael Nichols, Blake Butler and Caelan Fitzpatrick also scored in the win for Moose Jaw.

The Mustangs are now 6-3-1 on the year, which has them in third place in the SSLL's Midget Division. Moose Jaw returns to the court on Wednesday in Regina against the Rush at 8:30 p.m.
