Potential top-five NHL draft picks Brayden Yager of the Moose Jaw Warriors and Connor Bedard of the Regina Pats are going head-to-head once on Thursday night at the Hangar with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Tomorrow's game will also be the team's first-ever Military Appreciation Night where they will welcome and honour a number of different military personnel prior to puck drop. Catch James Gallo and the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m. on Country 100 and all the live play-by-play coverage at 7. 

Continuing with the Warriors, defenseman Marek Howell and forward Lynden Lakovic will represent Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge next month in Langley and Delta, BC. The two will hit the ice for their first game on Nov 3. 

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors have their sights set on four points this weekend, as they are in North Battleford for a two-game road swing against the Stars. Leading the team so far through eight games is Moose Jaw's own Liam Fitzpatrick who has 14 points so far this season and is tied for third in league scoring. 

To high school volleyball action on Tuesday... Vanier swept Notre Dame in three sets in senior girls' volleyball. To senior boys Vanier swept Avonlea 3 sets to zero, Central edged out Cornerstone 3 sets to 2, and Assiniboia finished off Peacock in three sets. 

The Moose Jaw U10 Ringette team will be hosting a bottle drive on Oct. 30 from 3-6. Help support girls' sports in Moose Jaw and call for a pickup to donate at 306-690-9001.

And in NHL action last night... It was Ottawa taking down the Boston Bruins 7-5, Vancouver dropping a 4-3 decision to Columbus in overtime, Calgary remains undefeated winning 3-2 over Vegas, and Buffalo on the road doubled up Edmonton 4-2.
