It was an emotional night for the Moose Jaw Warriors, as they saw their season come to an end by way of an 8-2 loss to the Winnipeg ICE in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semi-final series. Moose Jaw's Denton Mateychuk and Jagger Firkus lit the lamp for the Warriors on Monday night. Firkus spoke about how the team and he himself can grow from this heartbreaking loss.

"There's always room to grow, I think there was lots of opportunity that I missed in the playoffs," said Firkus. "I think as a team we just have to grow and understand that last year we didn't have a good season against them and we got better as the year went on this year. In the playoffs, I think we had a good team. It's frustrating losing in that kind of circumstance but I feel like next year we're going to have another strong team."

With 21 points in 10 games, Firkus tied a Warriors' franchise record for most points in a single playoffs. The Warriors will now head into the offseason and look to build towards another playoff push next season.

The ICE will wait and see who they will face in the Eastern Conference Final, as the Saskatoon Blades and Red Deer Rebels get set for Game 7 in their semi-final series, which goes Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Saskatoon.

Brooklyn Nimegeers and Jasmine Kohl took to the ice for Day 2 of the Esso Cup in Prince Albert on Monday. Kohl and the Prince Albert Northern Bears fell 10-1 to the Fraser Valley Rush, while Nimegeers and the Regina Rebels lost 4-1 to the Stoney Creek Sabres from Ontario. Both teams will continue their tournament on Tuesday. A full schedule of the tournament can be found HERE.

In the NHL playoffs, Toronto took down Tampa Bay 5-4 in overtime, the Devils tied their series against New York with a 3-1 win, Vegas got past Winnipeg 4-2, and Seattle took down Colorado in overtime 3-2.

And the Blue Jays earned themselves a 5-2 win on Monday against the White Sox.
