The Moose Jaw Warriors scored four times in the third period on their way to a 6-3 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes last night. Brayden Schuurman led the way with a goal and three points as six different Warrior players found the back of the net.

The Warriors now head into a pivotal home-and-home series against the Swift Current Broncos. The Warriors are on the road in Swift Current tomorrow night and return to the Hangar on Saturday to host the Broncos at 7 p.m. You can catch all of the action on Country 100 with the Voice of the Warriors James Gallo.

The Winmar AAA Warriors are back in action tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. when they host the Tisdale Trojans to begin a busy schedule of four games in five days. They host the Saskatoon Contacts at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. They are then on the road Monday to face the Saskatoon Blazers and then face the Swift Current Legionnaires on Tuesday.

The Viterra Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts got underway last night in Tisdale. The Penny Barker rink opened with a 10-5 win against the Sherry Anderson rink. Meanwhile, the Sherrilee Orsted rink curling out of Moose Jaw lost 7-6 against the Nancy Martin rink out of Martensville. Moose Javian Skylar Ackerman, curling out of Saskatoon, won 7-4 against the Michelle Englot rink.

This morning, Barker will be taking on Amber Holland and Ackerman will face the Mandy Selzer rink

High school basketball action last night, the Assiniboia JV boys defeated Briercrest 77-48, the Peacock junior boys defeated Lumsden 77-59, the Vanier senior girls defeated Peacock 81-41, and the Briercrest junior girls defeated Assiniboia 58-36.

In Wednesday night Cash League curling, Gray defeated KMS 6-5, Leeville Construction downed Johns Music 7-3, Fountain Tire defeated Helmeczi 5-2, and Young & Young Automotive defeated RK Sunview Farms 6-4. BTN and EMJ Marketing will play at a later date as BTN skip Penny Barker is at the provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Only two games in the NHL last night with only one Canadian team in action. The Montreal Canadiens won 3-2 over the New Jersey Devils.
