Team Canada remains undefeated at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Sweden after dominating Latvia 10-0 yesterday afternoon. The Moose Jaw Warriors' Brayden Yager had a goal and two points, while Denton Mateychuk had a pair of assists. Canada has today off before facing Sweden tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Warriors made a trade yesterday. Moose Jaw sent Andrej Tomasec, a first round pick in 2025, a conditional second round pick in 2025 and a third round pick in 2026 to the Edmonton Oil Kings for forward Rilen Kovacevic, defenceman Vojtech Port and a sixth round pick in 2024.

The Warriors are back in action tomorrow night when they host the Regina Pats at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Puck drop is 7 p.m. You can catch all of the action on Country 100 with the Voice of the Warriors James Gallo.

In the U18 provincial curling championships here in Moose Jaw, Hudson Heistad's rink from Avonlea is 2-0 to lead the standing for the boys and Renee Wood from Martenville and Melissa Remeshylo also of Martenville are undefeated for the girls.

In the NHL last night, four Canadian teams were in action. Former Regina Pat Connor Bedard scored the game-winner in overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Winnipeg Jets 2-1. The Calgary Flames lost 2-1 to the Seattle Kraken and the Ottawa Senator won the Battle of Ontario 4-2 over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
