Outlook RCMP, EMS, and STARS were dispatched to Lake Diefenbaker over the weekend after recreational scuba diver had drowned.

On Sunday around 11:30 am, emergency responders were dispatched to the Danielson Provincial Park west-side boat launch where a group of 4 divers hit the lake when approximately 200 yards away from shore one of the divers, a 46-year-old man, had lost contact with the others.

He was located a short time after but CPR efforts failed to revive him. Police aren't considering his death as suspicious and have ruled out any alcohol or drug impairment as a factor or his death. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Saskatchewan Coroner's Office.
