Moose Javian can take in some world-class curling for free to kick off the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The wildcard game takes place on Friday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Mosaic Place and pits two Manitoba rinks against each other, six-time Scotties champ Jennifer Jones and the number one ranked team in Canada the Tracy Fleury rink.

Scotties marketing and officer co-ordinator Maddie Kelly says the level of curling during the game will be outstanding.

“It’s going to be an amazing game and it’s free and it’s on Valentine’s Day, so it’s the cheapest date in town,” she said.

The winner of the wildcard game will move on to the regular draw at the Scotties, while the other team will be eliminated.

“It’s like a battle royale. It’s the last spot in the championship and we are going to get an amazing team and we’re going to lose an amazing team,” Kelly said.

The Scotties Tournament of Hearts will be at Mosaic Place from Feb. 14-23.
