Gord Stewart is the first member of the Prairie South School Board to announce his intentions for the upcoming election. Stewart, who is the current board chair and is one of four current, Subdivision Six trustees will be seeking re-election.
The board has made a lot of tough decisions in recent years and Stewart was the man who had to answer the questions on the board's behalf.
"There were difficult, emotional decisions for communities and it's not something that you're particularly happy about but you know that it's the right thing to do. I don't regret the decisions that we made. I know they were tough, difficult decisions but they were the right ones."
There are five Prairie South School Board seats up for grabs in the Moose Jaw election with four available in the Holy Trinity School Division.
