The Saskatchewan Rush couldn't make it a "three-peat."

The two-time defending National Lacrosse League (NLL) Champions, who play out of Saskatoon, lost to the Georgia Swarm 15-14 in overtime at SaskTel Centre Saturday night, giving the Swarm a 2-0 series victory in the best-of-three championship final.

A strategic move by the Rush in the dying seconds backfired, as the team pulled their goalie in favour of an extra attacker.  However, a misplay lead to the Swarm scoring the tying goal with three seconds left in regulation.  Georgia then won it with a Miles Thompson goal 57 seconds into overtime.
