I've had the pleasure - the privilege - of seeing some of the greatest musical acts of all time, live in concert.  I love the rock 'n roll and the people who make it.

Like many of you, I saw Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones and AC DC at their live shows at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.  I've seen Elton John and Bob Dylan.

I've seen some of the greatest guitar players of all time on stage from Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck to Peter Frampton, Keith Urban and Vince Gill.

I always liked Rod Stewart but I wasn't what one would call a big fan...until I saw him in concert.  It was several years ago now up in Saskatoon.  The weather was awful but the tickets were expensive.  The show would go on with or without us.  We made it.  I'm so glad we did.

Rod Stewart is a world-class entertainer.  He can sing and dance and tell stories.  He surrounds himself with the best musicians and back-up singers in the business.

He's back in Saskatoon next week.  If you have the time and the money, you should go.
