Not resting on their 52-0 drubbing of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Labour Day Classic, the Saskatchewan Roughriders added another former Bomber on Wednesday morning.

The Green & White have acquired import receiver Greg Carr in a trade with the Edmonton Eskimos.  The Riders sent 2011 second round pick Matt O’Donnell -- who has never reported to Saskatchewan -- and a 2013 fourth round pick to Edmonton for Carr and a 2013 fifth round pick.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have acquired import receiver Greg Carr and a 2013 5th Round pick in the Canadian College Draft from the Edmonton Eskimos.

Carr is a monster receiver, standing 6’6 and weighing in at 204 lbs, and will provide quarterback Darian Durant with another target in the offence.  Carr had signed with Edmonton as a free agent during the 2012 offseason.

The 26-year-old receiver appeared in six games with the Eskimos registering 19 receptions for 214 yards and one touchdown.  The Florida State product spent the previous two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers where he hauled in 77 passes for 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns in 18 games.

The Riders are back on the practice field on Wednesday at Mosaic Stadium.  They head to Winnipeg to face the Bombers in the Banjo Bowl on Sunday.
