But not all is well. Due to the down time a backlog has been caused and that could mean more waiting on that tax return.

 

Revenue Canada is putting out the word today that their computers are back up and running after a software malfunction to start the month.

Those looking to file taxes earlier this month were able to submit information to accounting firms but couldn't receive returns due to the computer shut down. Those looking to file their own taxes online were affected as well.

Jack Gerger is the franchise owner of H&R Block in Moose Jaw and says there may be a bit of a backlog to file until things are back on track. "Its probably good to still proceed and get the work underway and I guess our clients have been very patient."
