Sometimes all it takes is one confusing phone call, and you're out thousands of dollars.

The Moose Jaw Police Service is sending out a warning to local residents about sending people money after receiving odd phone calls.

Yet another incident was reported to Police Tuesday afternoon when a resident was contacted through email and on the telephone regarding their timeshare. They were talked into sending $24,000 to what they thought was a rental company, but it turned out to be a scam.

Once again officers are letting people know that you should never share personal information or be sending money to someone. Residents are advised to report any incident and contact the organization or company the caller claims to be with directly.

Police continue to investigate.
