It was shortly before the holidays arrived that Moose Jaw residents were checking their mailboxes and finding the latest recreation guide.

Now the time has come to register for the various programs and activities. Registration night is taking place on Thursday at the Kinsmen Sportsplex, with various ways to make a payment.

"There are three ways you can pay with the registration night, that is cash, cheque or by debit; we will have a debit machine available," explained Steven Hall, Recreation Program Supervisor for Community Programs. "You can show up anytime between 4 and 8 pm and we will be glad to assist you."

If you didn't receive one by mail, Hall said there's plenty of locations you can pop by to pick one up.

"If you want a physical copy of the rec guide the best place to go would be the Kinsmen Sportsplex, Yara Centre or City Hall. There's also some throughout other locations in Moose Jaw, Tourism Moose Jaw would be one example, on South Hill it would be Pla-Mor Palace."

The rec guide is also available online on the city's website as well for people who would like to view it electronically.

Not only does the guide feature a large number of programs and activities, but there's also information regarding city groups and facilities.

"Anything happening at the Kinsmen Sportsplex for swimming lessons, for lifeguard training, for First Aid courses are all there, but also everything happening out at the Yara Centre as well. New this year we had Wakamow Valley come in as a contributing partner, so there's a brief section for Wakamow Valley of what they're offering during the winter time as well as what they offer for rentals."
