Moose Jaw Police responded to 75 calls for service.
8:31 am – Erratic Driving – The driver was located and advised police that they swerved to avoid a dead animal on the highway.
8:32 am – Breach Court Order – Two adults failed to attend for fingerprinting. Warrants were issued.
9:03 am – Vehicle Seizure – During a vehicle stop a driver was found to be suspended. The driver was issued two tickets and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.
12:15 pm – Threatening – An adult threatened a sibling, and a restraining order was granted. The subject was arrested and released on conditions of no contact.
1:00 pm – Parking Bylaw – A camper was parked for two weeks without moving . The public is reminded that campers can be left unattached in front of their own residence for only 72 hours and then they must be moved away for 48 hours.
1:00 pm – Fail to Appear – Four adults failed to attend court as ordered. Warrants were issued.
3:43 pm – Collision – This involved two vehicles, two tows, no injuries, and one charge for failing to yield while making a left turn.
4:36 pm – City Bylaw – There was a report of two dirt bikes ripping around. The public is reminded it is not legal to ride an unlicensed motorcycle of any kind in the city limits.
6:51 pm – Dispute – Parking Dispute – A vehicle was boxed in because a resident didn’t want it parked in front of their house. City streets are not owned by residents, and anyone may legally park on them. Police mediated the situation.
7:10 pm – Dog Bylaw – A dog was running loose. The owners were located and warned.
9:38 pm – Assist Youth – Three youths were walking alone along a busy street. They were located and were hunting for frogs and lost track of where they were. Police assisted in taking them home.
11:42 pm – Assault – An intoxicated adult assaulted a stranger and damaged a vehicle. Minor injuries resulted. The adult was charged with assault and mischief and was released for court at a later date.
1:56 am – Fire Call – There was a report of a structure fire; however, it was a couch lit on fire outside the building. The fire was extinguished.
