Police and Fire Report

Moose Jaw Police responded to 63 calls for service.

9:47 am – 300 block Lillooet St. W. – Hit and Run to Vehicle – There was approximately $500 of damage to the victim vehicle.

10:09 am – Main St N at High St. W. – MVA – Two vehicles were involved.  There was $2000 of damage, and one ticket was issued.

10:41 am – 100 block Main St. N. – Theft from Vehicle – A vehicle was entered and two GST cheques were taken, valued at $6 each. 

1:04 pm – 1400 block 9th Ave. N. E. – CRA Scam – No money was lost by this complainant.  They advised police of the scam. Moose Jaw Police received over 80 calls regarding this scam.  A media release was sent out.

1:47 pm – 1000 block Algoma Ave. – Threats – The person responsible was located and charged with uttering death threats. 

2:01 pm  - 1100 block Currie Cr – A complainant requested assistance in locating a person and speaking with them.  The person was located and was fine.

2:30 pm – 100 block Ross St E. – Assault – Both parties were spoken to.  One is to be charged with assault.

2:44 pm – 100 Manitoba St. E. – Intoxicated Person – They were located and detained in cells until sober.

3:44 pm – 1300 block Vaughan St. – Threats – Both parties were spoken to and the situation was mediated.

6:11 pm – 1200 block 11th Ave. S. W. – Unwanted Guest – The subject was located and was advised not to return to that building.

7:26 pm – 100 block Ominica St. W. – MVA – There was a vehicle/bicycle accident.  A young person on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported.  No charges were laid but names were exchanged.

7:30 pm – 1000 block Athabasca St. E. – Property Found – A black canvas bag was found and was brought to the station to locate owner.

7:51 pm – 400 block Home St. W. – Assault – An injured person was located and taken to hospital by ambulance.  Police are still investigating.

8:57 pm – 200 block 1st Ave. N. W. – Wellbeing Check – A person was yelling and speaking to themselves.  They were located and were advised to keep the noise down.  The person was fine. 

10:58 pm – 1100 block  3rd Ave N. E. – Unwanted Guest – One person was taken to a friend’s place for the night.

11:45 pm – 1300 block 11th Ave. S. W.  – Noise Bylaw – A resident was warned regarding the noise bylaw. 

12:04 am – 1200 block Irving Ave. – Dispute Between Neighbours – Both parties were spoken to.  Police are still investigating.

2:40 am – 0 block River St. E. – Disturbance – A dispute occurred between three persons.  One was taken to hospital by ambulance.  Police are still investigating.
