Moose Jaw Police responded to 31 calls for service.

10:43 am – 300 Block River Park Dr – Hit & Run – Posts were damaged and vehicle parts were on the ground.  The accident was previously reported to police and the file number was provided.

12:16 pm – 0 Block Fairford St W – Obstruct Police – A subject provided a false name to police upon arrest.  The subject was charged and held for court.

2:09 pm – 100 Block Athabasca St E - Assist Sick Person – A subject was located and was fine.  They were transported home by police.

3:07 pm – 0 Block Ominica St W – Hit & Run – This occurred on January 26. A vehicle was hit while parked in a parking lot, causing approximately $2000 of damage.

3:14 pm – 300 Block Fairford St W – Impaired Driving – A subject was believed to be driving impaired. They were spoken to by police and found to be sober.

4:21 pm – 13th Av NE at Caribou St E – Obstruct Police – A subject failed to stop for police.  The subject is to be charged.

5:08 pm – 200 Block High St W – Dispute – This was mediated prior to police arrival.

7:20 pm – 0 Block Fairford St W – Drugs Possess – A subject was found to be in possession of meth.  The subject was charged and held for court.

7:34 pm – 100 Block Ominica St W – Noise Bylaw – Loud music was coming from an apartment.  Police attended and warned the tenant under the noise bylaw.

9:18 pm – 1100 Block Iroquois St W – Suspicious Occurrence – A subject heard noise that sounded like gun shots or fireworks in the area.  Police searched the area with negative results.  No further incidents were reported.

9:54 pm – 0 Block Lillooet St W – Intoxicated Person – A subject was seen falling out of a vehicle, stumbling everywhere.  Police attended and spoke with the subject and friend.  The subject was provided a sober ride home.

11:11 pm – 900 Block 13th Av SW – Assist to Locate – A subject was located.

1:36 pm – 300 Block Manitoba St W – Impaired Driving – A subject was issued an ASD demand which resulted in a “fail”.  The subject provided further breath samples over .08.  The subject was charged with exceeding .08 and impaired driving, and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.  The subject was held until sober and released for court at a later date.
