Moose Jaw Police responded to 36 calls for service.

9:11 am – Dispute – There was a dispute between a subject and staff. Police spoke to all parties involved and the dispute was mediated.

9:26 am – Assist EMS – Police were called to assist EMS with a patient, but police were cancelled prior to arrival.

11:56 am – MVC Under – A two vehicle accident occurred with no injuries. Police assisted with a name exchange.

12:11 pm – Shoplifting – A subject was caught attempting to leave a business with unpaid product. The subject was charged with theft and was released for a later court date.

12:08 pm – There was a dispute between two parties. The dispute was mediated.

12:33 pm – Parking Bylaw – A vehicle was parked in the same spot for two weeks. Police spoke to the registered owner, and they will move the car.

1:52 pm – MVC – A two vehicle collision resulted in no injuries. The damage was estimated at $10,000, both vehicles were towed, one ticket was issued for driving too fast for road conditions, and there were no injuries.

2:21 pm – Hit and Run – Sometime today a parked vehicle was hit. This is still under investigation

3:20 pm – Impaired Driving – A subject was arrested for impaired driving and was held in cells until sober. The individual is to be released for a later court date.

3:29 pm – Assault – A statement was taken from a subject. This is still under investigation for charges.

3:45 pm – Intoxicated Person – The subject was located and was too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were brought to cells and held until sober.

4:07 pm – Assault – A subject assaulted another person. A statement was taken, and the subject was arrested and charged with assault. They were released on an order with no contact conditions for a later court date.

4:44 pm – Assistance to Sick Person – EMS was contacted. The EMS didn’t require any further police assistance.

4:52 pm – Shoplifting – Two suspects were caught on video shoplifting. This is still under investigation for police to identify the suspects.

5:26 pm – Assistance to Sick Person – Moose Jaw Police spoke with a couple of people who were going through some tough times and discussed their options. The subjects were connected to proper resources for follow up care.

5:41 pm – Theft – The subject took property from a donation drop off. The subject was located, the property was returned, and the subject was warned for their actions.

6:13 pm – MVC – There was a two vehicle MVC in a parking lot. The damage was estimated at $10,000. One driver was issued a ticket.

7:37 pm – Impaired Driving – The subject was charged with impaired driving and exceeding .08. The subject was held in cells until sober, and was to be released for a later court date.

9:08 pm – Breach of Undertaking – The subject was not home for their court ordered curfew. The subject was to be charged.

9:12 pm – Noise Bylaw – There was a report of tenants being excessively loud. The subject was warned under the noise bylaw.

10:06 pm – Erratic Driver – There was a report of a vehicle speeding and drifting in a parking lot. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was performed. The driver was issued a stunting ticket.

11:11 pm – Dispute – there was a dispute between two people. Options were provided, and the dispute was mediated.

11:18 pm – Dispute – A subject had their Facebook account hacked by someone known to them. Police discussed options with them, and they were advised to contact Facebook.

11:55 pm – Well-Being Check – a subject was located in fine health. The individual was just having a bad evening. The subject said they would be fine for the evening, but would appreciate a follow up with PACT members.

12:06 am – Well Being Check – A family member requested a well-being check on another family member. The subject was located in fine health and has proper supports and resources in place.

4:16 am – Abandoned Vehicle – There was a report of a vehicle left abandoned in the middle of the intersection with all 4 tires popped. Police were unable to contact the registered owner. The vehicle was towed.

Police responded to seven 911 calls.
