Moose Jaw Police responded to 41 calls for service. 

9:55 am – Theft – There was a theft from a garage. This was reported for information purposes.

10:49 am – Suspicious Person – A subject was riding a bike snooping in yards and was chased out of the area prior to police being called. The area was searched and the subject was not located.

10:52 am – Fraud – A charge in the amount of $150 was made on the complainant’s credit card that they didn’t make. This is still under investigation.

11:05 am – PACT made contact with a person and provided assistance in contacting other resources available to the subject.

11:09 am – Suspicious Person – A subject was hanging around a parking lot acting strangely. The subject was gone upon police arrival, the area was searched, and the subject was not located.

12:19 pm – Found Property – Found property was turned into the station for destruction.

12:19 pm – Other Bylaw – There was a report of dogs out of their yard trying to get into another yard. The dog owner was warned for allowing the dogs to run at large.

12:59 pm – Dispute – A heated verbal dispute took place. One party left prior to police arrival and no further police action was required.

1:15 pm – Recovered Stolen Property – A stolen trailer was located in a parking lot. The owner was advised of recovery and will pick up the trailer.

4:03 pm – Trespassing – A subject was rummaging through someone’s recycle bin. The subject was gone prior to police arrival and the home owner will put up no trespassing signs on their property.

5:46 pm – Mischief – A subject was rummaging through a donation bin and making a mess. The subject returned everything to the bin and cleaned up the mess and was warned for their actions.

6:27 pm – Theft – Cheques that were stolen and cancelled in March were now being used. The cheque owner wasn’t out any money but was provided a police file number for their records.

6:59 pm – Assault – There was a report of an assault with the subject leaving prior to police arrival. A witness statement was taken from the victim. The subject was later located and arrested for assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance times two. The subject will be held for court later this morning.

7:06 pm – Theft – The subject was located and charged with theft and was released for a later court date.

8:04 pm – There was a report of a person causing a disturbance. The subject was located and arrested on outstanding warrants, and was later released with a later court date.

8:44 pm – Assist to Locate – Police were called to assist in locating a subject after a dispute with parents. The subject was located and spoken to about their actions. The subject was left in the care of family members.

8:44 pm – The subject was loitering in a doorway of a business and left upon police request.

9:43 pm – A business was having troubles with an unwanted guest not leaving upon the request of staff. The subject was asked to leave in front of police and will be served a ban letter. The subject left upon request.

9:43 pm – The complainant called in saying they could hear alarms ringing at a local business. The alarms were no longer ringing upon police arrival. The building and compound were checked, and all was secure.

10:06 pm – Dangerous Driving – There was a report of a vehicle speeding and swerving all over the road with the plate number obtained. The registered owner was contacted and warned.

11:06 pm –Mischief – Someone was knocking on the complainant’s door and running away. The area was searched and the subject was not located.

12:17 am – Driving Erratic – The complainant reported that a driver continuously drives their vehicle squealing its tires and revving its engine with the plate number obtained. This is still under investigation for police to speak to the registered owner.
