Moose Jaw Police responded to 25 calls for service.

9:16 am – Dispute – A verbal dispute between two parties broke out, with one party leaving prior to police arrival.

11:42 am – Erratic Driving – A street was barricaded off for a soap box derby and barricades were not being obeyed.  Police monitored area and dealt with infractions accordingly.

3:05 pm – Intoxicated Subject –A subject was high on drugs, acting delusional.  The subject was detained in cells until sober.

3:38 pm – Threats – A verbal threat was received from a neighbour and a statement was provided.  Police continue to investigate.

4:06 pm – Assault with a Weapon – A brief verbal altercation between two parties resulted in one of the parties assaulting the other with a hatchet and fleeing on foot.  Police attended to the area and located the suspect.  The subject was charged with assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon and breaching court order.  The subject was held for Court on August 20.

4:20 pm – Mischief – Sometime overnight a mirror on a vehicle was smashed, causing approximately $500 of damage.

7:26 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties over property.  They were advised that it was a civil matter, and the situation was mediated.

11:16 pm – Mischief – An unknown person hit a window on a vehicle with an unknown object, shattering the window.  Approximately $500 of damage was done.

12:21 am – Assault – Subjects called police via 911 advising they were assaulted by a third party.  Police spoke with all subjects involved and determined a mutual fight occurred, with the third party being assaulted first.

4:06 am – Theft in Progress – Someone inside a shop was taking property out and putting it into a vehicle.  Police attended and spoke with the subject at the shop to find the subject is the owner removing his own property.
