Josh Johnson powered the Moose Jaw Peewee Mustangs to a big 7-2 win over the Weyburn Thrashers on Tuesday night in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

Johnson had a hat trick and five points in the win, while Colton Ebbett chipped in with two goals and three points. Chase McKee also had a goal and two points, and Mason Williams picked up the other marker for Moose Jaw in the lopsided victory.

The Mustangs led 4-0 after one; 5-1 after two; and then cruised to the win in the third period.

Moose Jaw now sits at 3-0 on the year. The Peewee squad will be back on the court on Saturday for a doubleheader against Swift Current's two Rampage teams at Mosaic Place.

The Bantam Mustangs were also in Weyburn on Tuesday night and picked up a 6-1 win over the Thrashers to improve to 2-1-1 on the year.

Coming up on Wednesday night, the Moose Jaw Chiefs will head to Weyburn to face the Estevan Impact in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League's senior division. They face-off at 8 p.m. at Crescent Point Place.

The Midget Mustangs are back on the court at Mosaic Place to host the Regina Rush on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
