You could learn about parenting with the Moose Jaw Early Years Family Resource Centre.

The organization is once again holding their free six week Nobody’s Perfect Parenting program – this time in the evening.

The sessions will take place every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. starting on April 9th, and are for parents or guardians of children 0-5 years old.

Wanda Peakman, coordinator with the Moose Jaw Early Years Family Resource Centre, explained what the program entails. “Families can learn about your child’s feelings, or behaviours, body and safety, as well as sharing what it’s like to be a parent.”

She said parents will have the chance to talk with other parents and work with facilitators. “These sessions are based on what they want to learn about, and it’s not step-by-step from a book.”

They’ve gotten great feedback from past sessions. “Families have said that it feels good to know that they’re not alone," added Peakman.

Transportation and childcare are available for those to take part in the program.

Pre-registration is required, and you can either 306-691-0202 or email office@moosejawfrc.ca to register your spot.
