Now is the time producers start to get ready for the harvest as crops start to turn. As preparations get underway, a new tool could make things a bit easier this fall.

Some pea crops in the province have started turning with the heat and as a result it won't be long before the harvest gets underway.

Dave Dietrich from Assiniboia designed the Flexifinger Pulse Crop Lifter to help producers with the harvest. The tool was designed to be gentle on the crop both before the crop is cut and after it was cut to hold it over the knife so it isn't being shelled out by the knife action. It was designed to be easy to adjust and has a quick detach mechanism for taking the lifters off the header.

The Flexifinger fits a variety of combine headers and guards.
