Details are light but the province has signed on to a new partnership with Ottawa that will shift the care of residents from the hospital to a community setting.

Saskatchewan Health Minister Jim Reiter made the announcement Tuesday that will see the province invest $158 million in addition to $350 million from the Federal government. But Reiter admits they aren't sure how many community care centres will be established or what cities will get them.

Part of the funds will also be used to improve palliative and end-of-life care, improved mental health services for youth and expanding Internet therapy services.
