The Moose Jaw Police Service have released details about the items seized during an operation in October that resulted in a dangerous person alert being issued. 

The incident occurred on October 21 on the 800 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest. Moose Jaw Police were executing a search warrant when an individual left the residence and fired a handgun at police. A dangerous person alert was issued when the suspect fled. 

The suspect, 32-year-old Jirard Saddleback of Calgary, was located later that evening in the backyard of a residence on Ross Street West. 

Police say the restricted handgun used had a prohibited extended magazine that holds 30 rounds of ammunition. Saddleback is charged with not having a proper license for the handgun. Meanwhile, Moose Jaw police have confirmed the handgun was stolen. 

Along with the handgun, 855 grams of Methamphetamine and $6,620 was seized following the arrest.
