Moose Jaw Family Services received a $1200 cheque from The Mad Greek in Moose Jaw yesterday.

The restaurant raised the funds with their “12 Days of Christmas” that ran from December 6th through December 17th, where part of the sales on select menu items were donated to the organization.

“I’ve always said as long as we can, we will – especially at Christmas time,” said John Iatridis, owner of The Mad Greek in Moose Jaw.

Tara Jones, executive director with Moose Jaw Family Services, said that these kinds of donations allow the organization to fund their Christmas hampers and presents for local children, as well as supporting their counselling programs. “Every donation makes a difference in making sure that we continue to provide.”

“The holidays can be pretty hard, and there are things happening in our community that are a struggle for people. Any time that you need a resource, or supports, or even ideas, you can give us a call. We’re happy to connect you with the supports that we have if that’s appropriate, or make sure that we can help you connect with other supports in the community that we know about,” said Jones.

If you’d like to donate to Moose Jaw Family Services, you can etransfer them a donation any time at donations@mjfamilyservices.ca or give them a call in the office at 306-694-8133.
