The Moose Jaw Miller Express Split a pair of games over the weekend, while getting some much deserved rest to start the week.

After five straight games, the Millers take a break on Monday before jumping back into action on home turf at Ross Wells Park on Tuesday.

The local team had a home-and-home with Lethbridge, beating the Bulls 11-3 on Sunday, after falling 5-9 on Saturday.

Head Coach Mike Hunt said that the skills they've been working on during the season came into play during Sunday's game.

"We put three things together and things worked out really well, we found a way to get a lot of balls in play and got some extra base hits," explained Hunt.

Coach Hunt noted that despite having success to finish up the weekend, it'll be about keeping that momentum going throughout a busy week ahead.

"The things we've done gets them so far, and it's trying to roll through with what we did [Sunday] into Tuesday, Wednesday, [and] Thursday."

The Millers are back on home turf Tuesday evening to take on the Swift Current 57's, followed by a match up with Okotoks on Wednesday and Thursday which are also at Ross Wells Park.
