The Moose Jaw Warriors dominated in their final regular season game at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Saturday night, with an 11-1 win over the Regina Pats.

The Warriors are now preparing for the first round of the WHL playoffs. They'll host Brandon in games one and two of the best-of-seven Friday and Saturday nights at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

At the one-day provincial basketball championships this weekend, Central boys won the 4A title, beating Peacock 78-69.

The 4A girls from Peacock picked up bronze, beating Central 63-51. 4A girls from Vanier fell 57-54 to provincial champions from Meadow Lake. 1A girls from Coronach fell to provincial bronze winner Foam Lake.

In local curling news, the 2024 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championships are underway at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Yesterday's matchup between the two Saskatchewan teams saw Dash's Saskatchewan 1 beat Pederson's Saskatchewan 2 with a score of 11-1. Saskatchewan 2 plays British Columbia at 1:30 today, and Saskatchewan 1 plays Ontario 2 at 7.

Rachel Homan's Team Canada rink won it all at the BKT Tires World Womens' Curling Championship, with a final score of 7-5 over Team Switzerland.
