On his way out he admitted legal action was a possibility.  Well, the papers have been filed.  Our former City Manager, Matt Noble, is suing the City of Moose Jaw, saying he was forced to resign.  The statement of claim says he was "constructively dismissed".

Mr. Noble claims relationships became strained with City Council following the election in 2016, preventing him from performing his duties, undermining his position.

The statement says Noble raised his concerns with Council and talked about their interaction with his administration, specifically "unfair statements" made in public forums, such as City Council meetings.

And, you know what?  It's still happening.  There are some councillors who treat administrators like they're the opposition.  They're constantly questioned and in some cases, berated during Council meetings.  It's not the way it's supposed to work.  In fact, it doesn't work.

What can you do?  You can be a part of the solution.  Go to a City Council meeting and see for yourself.  You already know what the problem is; you just have to decide who the problems are.  You can make your own statement in the next civic election.
