Teams from across the world are in Regina this week for the 2017 Grand Slam of Curling’s Tour Challenge, which is being hosted at the Cooperators Centre, starting on Tuesday.

There’s three rinks with Moose Jaw connections taking part in the event, including the defending Saskatchewan women’s champion Penny Barker rink.

Barker and company will kick off the women’s Tier 2 draw on Tuesday night against Chelsea Carey at 8:30 p.m.

Moose Jaw’s Pat Simmons and his new rink will be in action on Tuesday afternoon against John Epping in the Tier 1 men’s draw.

Moose Jaw’s Brock Montgomery will be throwing the third stones for the Adam Casey rink this week in the Tier 2 men’s draw. They have their first action on Wednesday against Jason Ackerman in Draw 4 at 1 p.m.

The round robin runs through Friday with the quarterfinals and semifinals on Saturday. The finals will be held on Sunday.
