If you frequently travel across the 9th Avenue Bridge, watch for bright yellow vests over the next few days.

Work began at the intersection in early-October as new wiring and traffic signals were installed at the intersection. Other upgrades include revised approaches, new signals and controller, UPS backup, pedestrian push buttons and improved ramps.

However, due to clearance issues between overhead Sask Power lines and the new traffic poles, crews were forced to hold off on some of the work until the matter could be addressed.

Since then, Sask Power has relocated the overhead lines, allowing for the project to continue. The poles will be installed this week and is expected to wrap up by Thursday, weather permitting.

Traffic restrictions should be minimal if there are any at all. None of the lanes are expected to be closed during the project, but drivers and pedestrians are still asked to be cautious in the area.
