Moose Jaw's Branden Klatt and Chantz Petruic each scored for the Yorkton Terriers in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Notre Dame Hounds.

Both local products, and former Moose Jaw Warriors, have put together strong starts to the season in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Klatt also picked up an assist in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Weyburn Red Wings, he has five goals and nine points through six games with the Terriers this season.

Petruic has three goals in the last three games, giving him four goals and five points in seven games this season.

In other SJHL action over the weekend, Moose Jaw's Eric Soar had an assist for the Melville Millionaires in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Flin Flon Bombers. Melville lost all three games over the weekend, also falling 9-1 to the Bombers on Friday and 3-1 to the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Sunday.

16-year-old defenceman Chase Lacombe was held off the scoresheet in a pair of wins for the Humboldt Broncos, who beat Notre Dame 4-1 on Friday and Kindersley 2-1 on Saturday.

This week starts with Jeremy Bisson, Jaxsen Wiebe and the 6-0 Nipawin Hawks facing the Klippers in Kindersley, while Lacombe and the Broncos travel to Yorkton take on Klatt, Petruic and the Terriers on Tuesday. Puck drops on both games at 7:30 p.m.
