The Moose Jaw Kinette Club handed over a hefty cheque to the Transition House last Thursday after hosting a successful Pick Your Poison fundraiser.

Kinette Club President, Haley Hutchinson, says the decision to donate the money to the Transition House was an obvious one.

"We had the privilege of presenting a cheque to the Moose Jaw Transition House for $4,000. We chose the Transition House as the recipient because we know how much they do for women and families when they're facing a very difficult situation in their life. We wanted to help them help more women in the community."

Hutchinson goes on to say that they are planning on bringing back a fan favourite fundraiser - the Survivor Raffle - in the very near future.

She explains how it works.

"You enter as a team of five people and we eliminate players every day for about a week. The last remaining survivors win liquor store gift cards, and you only need one member from your team to win. Prizes range all the way up to $1,000, so it could equal to about 20 bottle of liquor per person on your team."
