Hundreds of charges might have been laid, but Saskatchewan RCMP are calling it encouraging.

Canada Road Safety Week held earlier this month saw a decrease in seatbelt infractions and aggressive driving charges. There were more than 200 seatbelt infractions and 165 charges involving aggressive driving, altogether 757 charges were laid.

The encouraging part, is the fact that all those numbers are lower than in previous years. Unfortunately, during the same week there were three fatal collisions. Two involved poor road conditions while the cause of the other is still under investigation.
