Harvest this year has so far been plagued by rain and snow, and as a result, harvest is going at a slower pace than usual.

Harvest is usually completed around mid-October but the latest Crop Report says harvest is sitting at only 47%.

Sue Knox is from a farm just 10 minutes from Moose Jaw and she explained what the big challenges are right now.

"The weather is going to be a challenge for everybody to get the crop off the ground because of the snow. The only thing that's standing up straight is the flax crop because it's wirey and it bounced back but everything else is laying on the ground."

Overall harvest will continue despite rain and snow, Knox added that her farm is around 55 or 60% harvested, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
