Four Moose Jaw Warriors’ players were among the 197 players that received invites on Tuesday to the Hockey Canada Summer Showcase camps later this summer.

Warriors’ Captain Brett Howden and Head Coach Tim Hunter will be heading to Plymouth, Michigan at the end of July with Team Canada for the National Junior Team Summer Development Camp.

There will be 42 prospects – four goaltenders, 13 defencemen and 25 forwards – looking to make an early case for a spot on the World Junior team as they compete with the United States, Finland and Sweden in a World Junior Summer Showcase.

Second-year Warriors’ Jett Woo and Luke Burzan will travel to Calgary for the National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team Selection Camp. They will be among the 44 players vying for a spot on Canada’s team for the 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup, which starts on Aug. 2.

2016 first round pick Brayden Tracey, who will be looking to earn a spot on the Warriors’ roster at training camp, will be attending Canada’s National Under-17 Development Camp.

There will be 111 players taking part in the camp, which begins on July 22.
