1. Nature Conservancy Paddle for Nature, Saturday and Sunday

Take advantage of the nice weather and grab a canoe, kayak or paddle board and head down to Buffalo Pound Lake, Lake Diefenbaker or the Moose Jaw River and enjoy some time on the water.

While you are at it, join the Nature Conservancy of Canada's Paddle for Nature event and help raise funds to conserve natural habitats.

2. Free Outdoor Movie, Saturday

The Moose Jaw Kinsmen are hosting a free outdoor movie at the football field at Hamilton Flats on Saturday. They will be showing Guardians of the Galaxy III starting at 9:30 p.m.

Admission is free but those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food for the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank.

3. Back to School event, Sunday

Kids will be heading back to the classrooms shortly. There will be a free Back-To-School event at the Town n Country Mall on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will include facepainting and a reptile and dinosaur show at 2 p.m.

4. Brain Boogie, Sunday

The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association's 21st Annual Brain Boogie is taking place starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday in Crescent Park. The event is to raise funds for the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Assocaition's programs to support brain injury survivors and families.

5. Watch and learn Pow Wow Dancing, Sunday

The Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association is hosting a Come Watch and Learn Pow Wow Dancing at the Crescent Park Amphitheatre on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.

The event begins with a pulled pork sandwich meal followed by teachings starting at 5 p.m. Teaching will be the Fisher family (Anishinabe from Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) and the Getz family (Kahkewistahaw First Nation). This event is free and all are welcome to attend.

This event is also taking place Sept. 3, 10 and 17.
