A movie filmed partially in Regina will have its debut Saturday night on a pay per view TV network.

Producer Andrea Hoffman said the film, which is called Cagefighter: Worlds Collide, stars UFC legend Chuck Liddell and WWE star Jon Moxley. Hoffman said they enjoyed filming there.

“It’s a great place to make movies, in Regina,” said Hoffman. “We’ve got a beautiful facility with the soundstage, we pulled in some crew from all over the place, and the rest is going to be history on Saturday night.

Another co-producer with the movie is and performing in the movie is Jay Reso, who was also known in the WWE as Christian Cage.

The stars of the movie were well-received in Regina, and Liddell was said to have enjoyed himself in the roughly three weeks they filmed there.

“These guys were so generous with their time,” said Hoffman. “Anyone that asked them for an autograph or a picture, they were in there and they had a blast. They met some great guys and they actually worked out with some guys, training, so we took them tosome gyms in the city, where they could wrestle and practice and rehearse the fight scenes.

In the film, a mixed martial artist is scheduled to fight against the professional wrestler.

Also involved in the producing the action sports film was Moose Jaw’s Hugh Patterson.

Other parts of the movie, which was directed by Jesse Quinones, were filmed in London. The film will make its debut on pay per view tv on Fite TV Saturday night.

“Fite TV can be accesses through your computer, or through your phone app, just go onto their website on your computer,” Hoffman said. “It worked out fantastic for us to partner with such a large platform, and with it being a fight movie, and given the circumstance right now of not being able to do premiere parties, this was our best option to get the movie out there.”
