For yet another year, the Fife Lake Hotel, and its owner Lawson Harkness, has made a significant donation to Telemiracle. Every year, the hotel hosts an auction with help from the Coronach Kinsmen Kinnettes to help raise money for the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation.

"We had less people than last year but we had about 225 items to auction so we did good," Harkness explained.

Even with a smaller turnout, they managed to raise $16,053.50 this year, which is already added on top of the staggering amount they've been able to donate over the years.

"In about 25 years we've raised about a quarter-million dollars so far," Harkness said. "It started when a friend of mine used to walk Fife Lake to the border or Fife Lake to Coronach to Fife Lake. When we got too old to walk we decided to do this."

This is yet another donation that Saskatchewanians across the province will be making towards the Telemiracle foundation, which supports residents in Saskatchewan with medical expenses and equipment they can't afford.

Telemiracle 42 runs from this Saturday until Sunday.
