The last federal budget before the fall election is coming down this afternoon.

It’s finance minister Bill Morneau’s fourth budget, and is expected to have measures on affordable home ownership, but is not expected to be closing in on a balance. Morneau has said he would ensure middle class optimism and an economy that works for all Canadians.  The budget is expected to set the tone for the upcoming election campaign.

The budget is scheduled to be delivered in the House of Commons at 2 p.m. Saskatchewan time.
