Division 510 of Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) dropped of a $3000 cheque for the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank on Friday afternoon.

The organization represents over 300 engineers and conductors within Moose Jaw and Regina. “Our brothers and sisters at TCRC Division 510 understand how important the food bank is within our community, and are proud to support annually,” said Daniel Stadnyk, president of Division 510 with TCRC.

The funds are appreciated. “Larger donations like this means a lot to us. It looks right now like we have a lot of food, but come January/February, our donations start to go down, how supplies start to go down," said Terri Smith, operations manager with the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank.

“Monetary donations go a long way, because then we can purchase what we need, when we need.”

The Moose Jaw and District Food Bank is open at 270 Fairford St West, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. The last day of pickup for this month is Friday, December 22nd.
